BRING AFRO ART TO LIFE
​HOLIDAY EDITION
The WECAN Organization invites you to join the second edition of our (virtual) artistic event: BRING AFRO ART TO LIFE. We are a non-profit organization aiming to become a space of exchange and of creativity to help grow our Afro-descendant members through Art, Culture, entrepreneurship and mixing of ideas born off the beaten track.
We also offer an array of services such as diagnoses of project/business, guidance and support, tools for daily management, access to a network of specialists, online courses, and more!
For this second edition, the WECAN Organization is looking for 8 Afro-descendant artists across Canada to showcase on our online platforms. Our objectives are to increase their visibility and promote purchases of their artwork by the general public. The campaign will be held throughout our social media from November 1st until November 30th, 2021.
Submit your application by sending the following documents at info@wecanart.org before 6 pm (EST) October 14th, 2021:
1- Autobiography (maximum 250 words);
2- One (1) picture of an artwork from your portfolio in Jpeg or Png format;
3- Name of the artwork
4- Price and description (size, techniques used);
5- Portrait photograph of yourself;
6- Contact details you would like to share (e-mail, phone number, website, social media).
7- Audio recording describing the concept of the work (20 seconds maximum)

Record your answer (maximum 20 seconds).
Small tip: place your phone on a flat surface with the microphone towards you when recording;
Save your registration under "LastnameFirstname.

No problem! Follow the steps below depending on your operator:
iPhone
Go to the home screen and open the Voice Memos application;
Once in the application, press the red circle the Record button to start your recording and then the red square the Stop button to stop it;
Rename and save your recording, then send it to the above email address.
Android
Go to the Home screen and open the Voice Recorder application;
If you don't see the app, download a voice recording app from the free choices available in the Google Play Store;
Once in the application, press the red circle the Record button to start your recording and then the red square the Stop button to stop it;
Rename and save your recording, then send it to the above email address.
