Aînée d’une famille de quatre enfants, Doris Barthélemy Jean Baptiste est née à Port-au-Prince en Haïti, le 25 Juillet 1975.
A la préadolescence, elle développa le goût pour l’art visuel grâce aux cours de dessins dispensés à son école. Plus tard, elle se lança dans la peinture sur tissu et créa une petite collection de vêtements peints à la main.
Peu de temps après l’obtention de son baccalauréat en Gestion des PME, elle quitta sa terre natale pour immigrer au Québec en 2002. Durant les années qui suivirent, elle consacra peu de temps à la peinture à cause de ses nouvelles obligations familiales.
Le 12 Janvier 2010, un séisme frappa abruptement Haïti, ne laissant aucune trace de sa mère. Cette catastrophe emporta une partie de son univers. Dès lors, elle sentit le besoin de reconstruire ce dernier en s`adonnant à la création. Elle se laisse désormais transporter par cette grande aventure qu’est la peinture…
Chacune de ses œuvres représente, son état d’âme, son désir d’affronter la vie, et encore plus, une preuve tangible de son existence.
